AZGOP STATEMENT ON NOMINATION OF JUDGE MICHAEL MUKASEY

PHOENIX, AZ – Arizona Republican Party Chairman Randy Pullen released the following statement today on President Bush’s nomination of Judge Michael Mukasey to the post of United States Attorney General:

“I commend President Bush’s selection of Judge Michael Mukasey to the post of United States Attorney General. I think one would be hard pressed to find a more honorable, knowledgeable, experienced, and dedicated person to serve in this vitally important position.

“It is my sincere hope that Judge Mukasey is swiftly confirmed by the Senate and allowed to take charge at the Justice Department in a timely manner.”
