Just as sure as overheating vehicles on Loop 202 in August, Democrat Dana Kennedy and union forces have resorted to making ridiculous claims against her City Council opponent, Sal DiCiccio. With only 8 days left until voters cast their vote for Phoenix City Council, desperate Kennedy supporters have launched their mudslinging methods to breathe life into a campaign running on fumes.
Councilman Sal DiCiccio, who was appointed to fill out the term of Greg Stanton earlier this year, is seeking a return to the City Council where he served for eight years from 1994 to 2002.
“Sal has always been a pragmatic, results oriented public servant. And his approach towards an extension of Loop 202 is a great example. Few politicians have the guts to tackle issues like these head on in an effort to get positive results. Our Councilman hasn’t been afraid to do that and he understands that something must be done to solve the traffic problems we have in Ahwatukee. Sal’s opponent has no record of building realistic solutions, only shouting criticisms from the sideline.
Dana Kennedy is already on the record as supporting the extension of the 202, to attack Sal for it makes no sense. The difference is Councilman DiCiccio wants the community to decide what its transportation future looks like.
During uncertain times, we need strong, experienced leadership that you can trust. As Chairman of the AZGOP and constituent, I wholeheartedly support his candidacy. With Sal as our Councilman, we get exactly that, a respected, effective lawmaker with fresh ideas and a unique ability to get them done.
