The Obama Care debate has gone from ridiculous to dangerous.

The President’s hand picked so called blue ribbon medical panel has opined women under 40 and those over 75 should not receive mammography exams because these geniuses have decided it is “not cost effective.” This is a thinly veiled attempt to ration diagnostics which has the effect of putting a dollar value on a human life.

Rationing access to doctor’s and health care – especially to the vulnerable young and old is Obama’s plan. How unfair!

Obama Care is filled with accounting mumbo jumbo. So called “doc fix” will cost $250 billion and isn’t counted in the Senate bill. How convenient!

The President will tax all Americans starting immediately. For Obama Care but no one will receive benefits until 2014. That makes no sense!

A new Medicare commission of unelected bureaucrats will ration care to seniors. How wrong?

Tax payer dollars will fund abortions. How cruel.

The Democrat’s dangerous government run health care experiment must be stopped and we the people must continue to oppose it.

That was fast. Just a week after Arizona Democrats Harry Mitchell and Ann Kirkpatrick voted to support a government-run health care experiment, Vice President Biden repays them with economic stimulus for their campaign accounts. Unfortunately, this bailout will not be any more effective that the General Motors loan has been.

General Motors $1.2 billion loss for the last quarter proves Obama’s economic experiments are wrong for America. With results like these, I shudder to think what health care reform could look like. Probably similar to the failing swine flu vaccination program. Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and apparently Arizona’s Democrats believe that increased spending and burdensome government regulation is best for our economy. It is sad, but the Representatives Kirkpatrick and Mitchell continue to be that they say one thing, and do another. But soon enough, voters will hold them accountable.

Earlier this year, President Obama said that the huge stimulus package would keep unemployment under 8%. But since Obama's $787 billion economic stimulus was passed, nearly 3 million Americans have lost their jobs and unemployment has continued its march onward to 10.2 percent.

The Obama Administration knows that their plan for heath care reform is on life support. Joe Biden’s appearance in the Valley of the Sun not only shines the light on the failed economic policies of Democrats, but demonstrates that Washington insiders will stop at nothing to ensure that their agenda will continue to push the country further to the left. At the end of the day, all this is is a taxpayer funded campaign trip.

In honor of Veterans Day, the AZGOP has unveiled the Arizona Republican Party Veterans Alliance to recognize and honor the courage, sacrifice, and achievements of service men and women from across the state. So many brave men and women throughout Arizona have dedicated their lives to protecting the freedom and integrity of our great nation, it is fitting that we continue to seek new ways to honor and recognize their service

The Republicans Veterans Alliance brings together valuable information for veterans and keeps everyone a little closer with our troops. Posted on the website are a collection of photographs, short videos and information related to veterans and military affairs.

These brave heroes deserve special recognition, which is why the AZGOP is proud to have created this site to honor to thank our brave soldiers for their contributions to our nation. Their service and accomplishments earn them the special recognition that a Hall of Fame can provide. I feel that this is a fitting expression of our continuing gratitude and admiration.

TREMENDOUS WINS LAY GROUNDWORK FOR 2010

Today’s victories show that voters are returning to the Republican Party. From coast to coast, people are rejecting the liberal, big-government policies of Democrat leaders from the nation’s capital all the way to Phoenix and beyond. Americans are tired of endless bailouts, bloated and inefficient bureaucracies, and a heightened presence of government in our lives.

Here in Arizona, voters know that during a time of fiscal uncertainty, everyone must do more with less. This is especially the case when it comes to government. Republican candidates understand that we must return to our first principles.

Last November’s stinging electoral defeats served as a wake-up call for Republicans around the country. But this evening’s results are proof-positive that rumors of the death of the Republican Party have been greatly exaggerated. This year’s local elections serve as a strong indicator for 2010 elections, Arizona Republicans are poised again to make significant gains next year and Arizona’s Democrats should take notice.

Nationally, Democrats hit their high-water mark in 2008. Obama’s rising tide, which swept so many Democrats into power has begun to recede. I think Democrats misinterpreted the American public’s appetite for ‘Change.’ Last year, people voted for change they could believe in, clearly they didn’t get the change they were looking for. It was with a bitter aftertaste from last year that voters went to the polls today and expressed their displeasure with the direction of country.

Tonight, we can be proud of our accomplishments as we continue to reset ourselves back on the right track. In Arizona, we know that this is only the beginning of a larger battle for the future direction of our country in 2010. With Republican wins in Virginia, New Jersey coinciding with victories here in Phoenix, the GOP is laying the groundwork one race at a time and looking forward to 2010 with great anticipation.
